Three weeks to go until we open! Our new Heron home has arrived and we are busy getting ready for our first guests :)

July 2017

Our remaining availability has now been discounted by at least 10% for July and August holidays.

April 2017

Easter is upon us and we have been fully booked for the last couple of weeks. We still have availability before the kids break up for Summer, so now's a great time to book your holiday with us.

November 2016

Our last guests left this week and we are now closed until early 2017. Otter will now be a 4 berth holiday home so for next Season we will only have Heron as our 6 berth 3 Bedroom home.

October 2016

We are now a member of the British Holiday & Home Parks Assocation. 

September 2016

After a great visit to the Lawns Trade Show in Hull, we have ordered a new 6 berth and 4 berth Willerby Rio Golds for next season to replace Otter and Seal. All being well they will arrive mid February - March to give us time to site them for next seaon.

August 2016

We've had our busiest year so far and guests are now starting to book for 2017. With that in mind we have decided to replace Otter and Seal with new units for next year, so we are off to the Caravan show in a couple of weeks time to choose new Otter and Seal.

We had a pod of 15 dolphins playing in front of the site for an hour yesterday morning. The Bothy freezer is now full of meals, sausages, burgers, and fresh langustines and squat lobsters caught today!

We're nearly ready for another busy Season, Otter, Seal, Heron and Orchid have all had new bedroom carpets fitted and Spring cleaning is almost done. Ready made meals from Omni Catering and BBQ meat from Jacksons butchers has been ordered.

Luing Stores & Post Office is now fully up and running and stocks a great selection of fresh fruit and veg.

Our new online booking system with Supercontrol is now live. It is now even easier to book and pay for your holiday with us at Sunnybrae.

The Atlantic Islands Centre is now fully open in Cullipool where you can learn all about the history of our slate isles and enjoy tea, coffee and cake, lunch and an evening meal and glass of wine or beer on a Friday and Saturday.

The new upholstery for Caravans 3, 4, 5 and 6 has arrived. Many thanks to Jill from Upholstery Sewing Services over in Fife for doing a wonderful job.

January 2015

Happy New Year! The sun is shining and we are starting to think about getting ready for this Season.

By the end of the month, the new upholstery in van 3,4,5 and 6 will have arrived and a couple of weeks later vans 7 and 8 should be here.

The Atlantic Islands Centre in Cullipool is well on the way to be open in time for Easter. As well as being an interpretive Centre for the West Coast Islands, it will also have a museum exhibiting Luings history and a place to eat and drink as well. More details will follow on this exciting new addition to our Island 

September 2014

Jenn and I visted the Caravan Trade show last week and chose 2 new caravans for the 2015 season. We are replacing caravan 7 and also adding an eighth van to the site which will be situated by van 1.

Vans 3,4,5 and 6 will also have a refurb over the winter months with new upholstery in the lounge areas and bedroom carpets where needed.

We've also decided to give our vans names which you can see on our accomodation page.

The pontoon is nearly finished, fenders have been ordered and just a wee bit more tweaking to do

First part of the pontoon installation completed. Over 5 tonne of concrete to make a secure holding for the walkways, these should be here early march.

Landscaping and landraising for caravans 1 and 8 is in progress!

Today (10 January 2014) we received verbal confirmation that our planning permission for an additional caravan and pontoon installation has been agreed. The pontoon will be able to take 2 boats for guests use and it should be in place within the next couple of months.

Our new Van 1 is arriving on the 10 February and hopefully Van 8 will arrive just after Easter. We'll post some pictures as soon as we can but for now this is how we hope it will look...

After a really busy season we are closing this saturday (16 november 2013) and  we will reopen early next spring. We would like to thank all our guests for staying with us and hope to see you all again next year! Mike and Jenn.

We went to the Caravan Show in Hull on the 11 Sept 2013 and ordered a new 28 x 10 4 berth Willowby Rio Gold to replace number 1 for our 2014 season.

We have upgraded the Bothy for 2013 so that there is now room for a freezer full of locally sourced ready made meals, seafood, venison etc etc.  The Bothy is also the hub of our new free Wifi facilities, and there is a table and chairs for guests to use for their laptops/ ipads whilst checking emails, booking day trips or just keeping their family and friends up to date on facebook or twitter.
