Isle of Luing Bike Hire
At Sunnybrae we have bikes available for hire and this is a great way to explore our Isle of Luing.
The island of Luing is only 6 miles long by 2 miles wide, and has spectacular views of the Isles of Mull, Shuna, Scarba, Torsa, Fladda, Jura, Belnahua and the Garvellachs.
With 9 miles of tarmac roads to explore, you can visit the white washed slate quarriers cottages in the conservation villages of Cullipool and Toberonochy, enjoy our dramatic island views and have a wee picnic on our beach at Blackmill Bay
Refreshments, ice creams and souvenirs are available from the island's shop in Cullipool, but don’t forget a packed lunch and drink if you plan to be out all day or visit the cafe at the Atlantic Islands Centre in Cullipool and enjoy delicious meals and homemade baking.
It’s so easy to have a great active day out for yourself and all the family. We are only a half hour drive south of Oban and the Cuan Ferry crossing to Luing only takes 3 minutes.
The ferry runs on the hour and half hour and only costs approx £2.10 for an adult return. Just leave your car at North Cuan, cross over as foot passengers and collect your bikes from Sunnybrae Caravan Park, just 50 metres from the slipway.
